COMPUTER STUDY CENTER
A computer study center was established in the College in 2/7/19 in collaboration with NIELIT(National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology) Zuangtui Aizawl.
This learning center offers a three-month certificate course i.e Course on Computer Concept (CCC). The course syllabus is prepared by NIELIT. The center has one instructor having a degree in Master of Computer Application, appointed by NIELIT.
SKILLS TO BE IMPARTED
- Skills in basic and fundamental of computer
- Skills in MS office tools, internet, and its application
- Skills in computer handling on windows environment
The course is designed to aim at imparting a basic IT literacy program for the students, also having complete literacy thereby contributing to increasing and speedy PC penetration in different walks of life, self-employment, etc.
ADMISSION
The center opens admission twice every year based on semester wise and on the basis of the seating capacity of the center. The capacity of the seat available is 20.
FEES
The center follows the guidelines of NIELIT and students are charged only a few fees like exam fees but NIELIT has reimbursed exam fees to all the students who appear CCC exam for the first time after completing their exam.
Compared to private institutions, the cost of the study is much cheaper and almost free for ST students. Hence, the students of this College and youths of khawzawl district who avail of this course are very fortunate as they can easily access the center to acquire essential computer skills.
EXAMINATION
Candidates can apply the CCC examination through online mode only. Certificates were provided to the successful students by NIELIT.
ACTIVITIES
During 2019 two batches of students comprising of 18 students were admitted to this center and completed the course successfully. Since the Mizoram state govt. demands the application of various jobs to acquire basic computer degrees like CCC, Govt. khawzawl college NIELIT computer center tries its best to complete as many courses as possible in the coming years.
