The meeting started with Mr.Lalrintluanga, Principal in the chair,  after which Mr.M.Modhu Singh, Coordinator, IQAC  presented and explained the necessary requirements and the guidelines of NAAC for NAAC  Assessment in the house. The house started to discuss the Agenda minutely and unanimously resolved the following resolutions:

  1. The house resolved to be conducted Seminars by the department of Political Science and Mizo which would be organized by the concerned Head of Department under the supervision of the  Principal.
  2. It is also resolved that a workshop to be conducted is to be organized by the Department of Education.
  3. The house unanimously resolved that Student-Teacher Evaluation be practice once at least in an academic session.
  4. The house decided to discuss the Remedial Coaching class after conducting seminars and workshops. The house discussed Library, books, and infrastructure and decided to follow the existing conduct rules and to improve earlier.
  5. It is also resolved to subscribe to the following periodical magazine/Journal at the earliest.
  6. Sports Magazine (monthly)
  7. Political and Economic Journal (monthly)
  8. India Today (Weekly)
  9. Frontline(Weekly)
  10. Competitive Success (monthly)
  11. Regarding the improvement of Teaching, it is decided to discuss in the Teachers Meeting which is to be conducted shortly.

The house started with Mr.R.Lalrintluanga in the chair and discussed the matters minutely and took the following decisions unanimously:

  1. Computer Training for the Teaching faculty will be conducted on 3rd September 2016 in the Professors Common room. Mr.Lalkhawngaihsanga BCA will be engaged as an Instructor. Dinner will be served also. All the teaching faculty members should attend the training with their own laptops.
  2. Projectors are to be brought and utilized in the classroom just after finishing the electrification of the main building.
  3. Reports containing the duration and topic of any seminar/workshops conducted during the last four years are to be submitted to the Coordinator IQAC within one week as the preparation of SSR of the College is under process.
  4. Every teaching faculty member should maintain Log Book properly with effect from 1st July 2016. The logbook will be provided by the IQAC.
  5. Evaluation of teacher by the students is to be conducted by the Coordinator, IQAC.
  6. Quiz and Essay competition and any innovative Scheme / Programme may be conducted under the sponsorship of RUSA within September.

7. Classroom seminars are to be conducted under the supervision of the Head of the Department concerned. The report should reach the Coordinator             IQAC as soon as possible and should be maintained in the Log Book.

 

  1. Dept of Education is responsible to guide the students to prepare /maintain Data collection and any project.
  2. All the departments should try to conduct seminars/workshops in the respective subject through proper channels (searching financial aid from other sources available.

  1. Post and beams of the main gate with a signboard to be constructed. Mr. Vantlangkhuma and Mr.N.Umananda are entrusted to construct the gate.

The House has decided to adopt the following resolution after a minute discussion with the Principal in the chair.

 

  1. The house has fixed 26th-27th July 2017 as the visit schedule of the Peer Team to the College to the desire of NAAC authority.
  2. Principal and Coordinator IQAC are entrusted to prepare the visit schedule of the Peer Team.
  3. Mr.M.Modhu Singh Coordinator and Miss Laldingngheti are appointed Reception committee to receive the peer Team at Lengpui Airport, Aizawl.

4.The House appointed Mr.K.Ziona HOD, History Department as Professor in-charge and Mr.H.Vanlalhruaia as Assistant Professor in-charge of Students-Parents Association of the College.

5.The House decided to form an ushering Committee with the following dignitaries

8.Badminton Court is to be installed under the supervision of Mr.K.Zioina and Mr.H.Vanlalhruaia before 22nd 2017 positively.

REPORT ON PEER TEAM VISIT

Dated the 25th&26th July Khawzawl

The Peer Team of NAAC arrived at Khawzawl on 24th July 2017 instantly. Peer Team members were welcomed warmly and cordially by the staff led by the Principal at stay place(DC rest house). Food and Lodging had been provided at DC Rest House as per  NAAC instruction.

The Peer Team arrived College at 9:20 am sharp on the 25th of July and welcomed by the employees with an excitement of a new hope of prosperity and development. The session had been started at 9:30 am as per the visit schedule prepared by the College and approved by the NAAC authority. Lunch had been offered just after the Morning Session of the first day. The afternoon Session had been resumed again at 2:00 pm successfully and concluded at5:30pm with cultural programs presented by the students of the College. The Peer Team members left the Institution to stay place.

The Second day Session also started at 9:30 am as per the schedule and continued till 1:00 pm. Lunch had been provided in the College. The Second Session of the Second& the last day started again at 2:00 pm as per the visit schedule and continued the session successfully till 5:00 pm. The exit meeting had been commenced at 5:00 pm with a welcome speech by the Principal and followed by handing over of documents by the Chairman with a short speech and concluded with a Vote of Thanks presented by the Coordinator, IQAC instantly and successfully on time.

The Peer Team proceeds to stay place and left Khawzawl on the following day ,i.e.27th July 2017 for Hotel Regency. The Peer Team left Mizoram on the 28th of July 2017.

The meeting started with Mr.Lalrintluanga Principal in the chair which was followed by the highlight of the agenda by the Coordinator IQAC with the permission of the chairman. The house discussed the matters carefully and minutely and adapted the following decisions unanimously and conscientiously after a prolonged discussion.

 

1.Every Department has to offer Incentive Award to the distinguished students who passed in the 1st Division and rank holders (among the top ten)in the End Semester University Examination individually.

2.Two Best Practices have been chalked out:

(a)Students’ Assessment of Teacher to be conducted once in a Semester

(b)One Extra Monthly clad test besides University norms of Examination. The result of the Test (Carried 20 marks respectively) has to be submitted to the Coordinator IQAC by HOD on or before the last working day of the month.

All the HODs should submit monthly students’ Attendance reports to the Principal at the end of the month.

3.Every Teacher having six years of teaching experience is encouraged to work Research Project which is one of the major criteria of NAAC Assessment.

1.Watchman cum sweeper will be engaged by means of PMU(RUSA) funding on the remuneration of Rs.4000 (Rupees four thousand only)per month from 4 pm-7 am every day. Procedure of engagement/selection will be carried out by the PMU(RUSA).

2.Computer Certificate Course to be started in collaboration with NIELIT Aizawl. Mrs.H.Lalthanpuii is entrusted to carry out the necessary works to install the Centre.

  1. The Chairman, Moderation and Academic Board is responsible to collect Special Extra Examination Result and monthly attendance report from all the HODs. Examination result is to be submitted to the Co-ordinator, IQAC and attendances to the Principal in time.
  2. Peter Lalremruata, Asst. Prof. Education Department is appointed as Nodal Officer AISHE of this College. He has taken the charge immediately.
  3. The Principal and Co-ordinator IQAC are entrusted to appoint a new co-ordinator, IQAC as and when it feels nescessary.

  1. Two extra test may be conducted in a month instead of once in a month if time is manageable. The better one may be submitted for best practices.

The meeting was opened by the Chairman and spoke about the timely retirement of Mr.M.Modhu Singh on 29.2.2020 Coordinator IQAC and the requirement to appoint a new Coordinator IQAC. With a prolonged discussion, the following decision has been decided unanimously.

1.Mrs.H.Lalthanpuii  Associate Professor   Department 0f Mizo is appointed for Coordinator IQAC, Mr.Dr.Lalliantluanga  Assistant Professor Dept. of Education for Assistant Coordinator, and Mrs.Lalramlawmi  Assistant Professor  Dept. of English for Assistant Coordinator respectively.

2.As the current website is not sufficient enough, it is decided that the new website of the College be created. The Coordinators are entrusted to take all the necessary tasks for the creation and maintenance of the website.

The Committee Chairman Principal Mr.R. Lalrintluanga opened the meeting and invited Dr Lalliantluanga Ralte, Asst. Coordinator IQAC to give report of IQAC activities and agenda, after that the meeting resolved the following:

 

  1. The meeting appointed Mr.Rochharzela as Professor in-charge to take necessary steps in recognition and registration of adventure club. Besides, due to new appointment Mr Rochharzela resigned to the college Mr. Lalchhanhima Asst. Professor Deptt of History is newly appointed as the new Professor in charge of College Adventure Club.
  2. The Meeting appointed Mr R.Lalthanliana Associate Professor Deptt. of History as Convener and Mr.H.Vanlalhruaia Asst. Professor Deptt. of Economics and Mr. P.C Lalrindika Asst.Professor Deptt. of History as members to take initiatives and the committee should submit Internal Finance Audit report on or before 31st March 2021.
  • The meeting resolved that the IQAC Govt Khazawl College was reconstructed as Mr. PC. Lalrindika Asst. Professor Dept of History is newly appointed as Asst. Coordinator, IQAC to replace Mrs. Lalramlawmi the previous Asst. Coordinator,IQAC Govt. Khazawl College,Khawzawl with effect from 18 March 2021 untill further order.

Besides, due to supernnuation pension of Mr. Modhu Singh the previous Nodal Officer, AISHE Mrs. H.Lalthanpuii is hereby appointed as Nodal Officer, AISHE w.e.f. 18 March 2021.

The IQAC committee meeting was headed by Mr.R.Lalrintluanga, Principal with a warm welcome to the members and invited IQAC Coordinators to give activity reports related to the previous meeting minutes, after that the meeting discussed and resolved the following matters-

Resolution No 1:  AQAR 2020-2021 regarding – The committee meeting discussed the matter and resolved that all the staff meeting should be held on 28th January 2022 in meeting room to discuss AQAR reports and for preparation of forthcoming NAAC 2nd cycle Accreditations and Assessment regarding. IQAC Coordinators are entrusted to take necessary action.

 

Resolution No 2:  Inauguration of Adopted Village – The committee meeting discussed the matter and resolved that inauguration of our adopted village should be conducted as soon as possible; IQAC Coordinators are entrusted to take initiatives.

 

Resolution No 3:  AAA (Academic and Administrative Audit) regards – The committee meeting resolved that, all departments should submit their reports on ‘AAA’ before 15th February 2022.

 

Resolution No 4:  The committee meeting resolved that, Mrs Lalramlawmi and Dr Soukarja Ghosal are entrusted to study Unnat Bharat Scheme and are expected to give their reports before 15th January 2022.

 

Resolution No 5:  The committee meeting resolved and appointed that Mr K.Lalkulhpuia Nodal officers Eco club to take initiatives on Greed Audit as soon as possible.
